3 individually very good stories that only really come together in the very end. Not a very happy film, but it is carried out well, great acting, amazing cinematography, and super well developed characters.
I just felt the film tried a little too hard to connect the 3 stories at some parts, they didn't intertwine as much as I felt the filmmakers wanted them to...and so there was these moments (a few of them) where they'd just show you a shot from a different story going "oh yeah don't forget about this guy!".
