A poignant set of linked stories interweaving layers of human depravity in single minded pursuit of obsessions. This is an epic with layers of storytelling wrapped into a wonderful amalgamation of screenplay, camerawork and editing.
In scenes that are never easy on your eye, Alejandro González Iñárritu & Guillermo Arriaga take you through every sentiment a human being will experience in their lives - Moral turmoils and incongruences that seem to juxtapose with intimate human frailties.
Emilio Echevarría's portrayal of a complex character is marvelous. A classic that weights in on the highest cinematic standards!
