Review of Amityville: The Awakening (2017) by Barry%20 M — 28 Dec 2017

This was a bland movie. The acting wasn't good in my opinion, and the story line was weak. I was execting it to be full of jump scares, twists, and somewhat similar to the original Amityville, however this movie fell flat.

If you enjoy the odd scary movie, this may be worth watching. However, if you're a die-hard horror movie fan, I wouldn't recommend this one. The film it's self was not well done, it didn't hold my interest and there were so many points you just expect things to happen.

I would have preferred if they began sooner with the background story about the brother getting injured, instead of letting it go until the middle of the film in order to understand just what happened and WHY the sister felt so guilty about the incident.
