Review of Amityville II: The Possession (1982) by Richard D — 03 Jun 2016

Here's the "Amityville" film that's worth a look. I'm not going to pretend that this is exactly a good film, but by amping up the sleaze, Damiano Damiani and Tommy Lee Wallace deliver the goods that the first film skimped on.

Burt Young particularly shines in one of the sweatiest, sleaziest performances short of Joe Spinell in "Maniac". There's a lot wrong with it, particularly the really dumb final half hour that turns it into am "Exorcist" rip-off, but it's fun in every way that the original was not.
