Inspirational and filled with cinematic symbolism, this film will take you on an emotional journey into the nature of humanity, freedom and justice. Excellent characterisation and acting, especially by Anthony Hopkins.
I have qualms with the "sanitised" nature of slaving depicted and the oversimplification of many of the issues entailed in the film. But overall an excellent piece and well worth the watch. More films should be made on slavery.
