Review of Amistad (1997) by Aaron H — 22 Feb 2008
Don't listen to the synopsis to the right. It's not simplistic, it's not derivative of E.T., and it's not a traditional courtroom drama. While it does slow down a great deal and has a very anti-climactic ending, I feel it more than compensates by telling a great story without a voice-over the entire time.
The first 10 minutes alone are worth a full viewing.
