Review of Amistad (1997) by Adam W — 09 May 2008
This was one of the best period films I have seen. It really portrays the tension in the U.S. that was created by slavery. McConaughey's performance is brilliant, but it is Hopkins who steals the show.
His portrayla of John Quincey Adams is spectacular and his delivery of the ending speech is perfect. I will definately be watching this movie again soon.
