Oh yes, thank you USA, you have delivered the world from slavery, how grateful we are to you. The story itself makes quite an impression considering that it it is based on facts. But the length and the pompous manner in which it is filmed.
..though I ahve to admit that Hopkins deserved Academy's nomination.
