Review of Amistad (1997) by Ashley H — 22 Feb 2013
Amistad is a powerful film. It is about a 1839 mutiny aboard a slave ship that is traveling towards the northeastern coast of America and much of the story involves a court-room drama about the free man who led the revolt.
Anthony Hopkins, Matthew McConaughey, and Morgan Freeman give excellent performances. The script is well written. Steven Spielberg did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the drama.
Amistad is a must see.
