Review of America's Sweethearts (2001) by Debora G — 13 Jan 2010
This very much reminds me of the hate love relationship between don and lina in singin in the rain, the fans love to see them acting together. However, they hate being with each other. Jon cusack and catherine zeta jones portray a married couple separated, where jones' character runs off with a spanyard and cusack's goes insane trying to calm himself in a foreign country for his wife leaving him.
the production company that made most of their movies together are working on another movie, and critics are waiting to see it, but the two stars are not available for the publicity actions. Billy crystal's character works on getting them together along with the help of julia robert's character and the mess begins.
. Cusack thinks roberts is his wife.. Robert's was always in love with him and jones' is full of herself thinking that cusack cannot live without her. Didn't see any comedy or intriguing action in this flick.
its more of a tv movie than a movie to see at theatres. and the idea of making julia roberts Fat.. who lost 60lbs.. that is just unbelievable.when they made her look fat.. she didnt even loook too fat.
