Review of American Ultra (2015) by Jill R — 21 Aug 2015
The trailers mislead you in thinking it is going to be something like Pineapple Express, when it is actually more in tune with a Jason Bourne type of movie where the agent is also a stoner. There are some funny moments, but this is more a dramedy than anything else. It also is a love story in which Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart have good chemistry on screen. As long as you go in knowing it is was not meant to be a laugh-a-minute stoner flick, then you will have a good time with this ultra-violent, kick-ass spy flick.
