One part "stoner comedy", one part "action hero adventure", one part "against odds romance story" and one part "political thriller" makes "AMERICAN ULTRA" a one of a kind 'little summer blockbuster that could'.
Its outlandish, yet terrifyingly real-ish (see: Project MK Ultra), premise is a genuinely unique story to conventional film. A cluster-f@ck of comedy and action delivered by Eisenberg and Stewart leads me to believe this will garner a cult following in the years to come.
