American Ultra ultimately suffers from a little too much boom and not enough character development. Kristen Stewart was actually just fine in this movie, and brought in a great bit of emotional draw toward the two main characters after a certain scene involving gas.

.. but the villain in the film is laughably cartoony and many things just don't make any logical sense: for one thing, the CIA would never be run so incredibly terribly. Not even the spy agency from Archer was so incredibly inept.
