Review of American Ultra (2015) by Jay B — 03 Feb 2016

After watching the trailer you'd be mistaken for thinking that this is an all out action comedy, the trailer revealed what would seem like there would be a tonne of laughs. There isn't. Jesse Eisenberg plays a stoner who is also a sleeper agent and his girlfriend gets caught in the middle.

There aren't that many twists, there aren't a lot of laughs apart from what was already revealed and because of that I didn't really find it funny, its very violent. Its not that fast paced, even though its only 90 minutes long, it does have a tendency to drag after the 60 minute mark.

Its an OK film, not awe inspiring, you will more then likely forget it after a few days. Watch it on Netflix. Not worth buying.
