Review of American: The Bill Hicks Story (2010) by Kyle S — 07 Apr 2011
It's narratively uneven and doesn't really catch wind of delivering any semblance of purpose until its third act, instead settling for third-degree exposition for altogether too much of its running time.
When it does cut to the heart of Bill's unique contributions, though, in the wake of facing his own mortality, it gets great. Worth a watch - hopefully it leaves you with something, just like Bill always managed to do.
