Review of American: The Bill Hicks Story (2010) by Charles M — 14 May 2011
A pretty well done doc. The story of Hick's life is well recalled by friends and family, but they take the photo montage style to a completely new level with some interesting, artistic animation. My only gripe is that sometimes I truly want to see the reaction of the people being interviewed, as there are some deeply moving moments that are somewhat missed because I could not connect to the interviewee as well.
