Though this serves as a reminder that the teen years are uniformly awful for just about everyone - most people shudder at the thought of going back to those years and this movie is a pretty good explanation why.

The larger picture is that of just how much people can be assholes to each other on a casual basis. Kids to kids, parents to kids, it's astonishing. I'm 43 and I'm amazed to see nothing has changed in 25 years .

. . Hannah has the right idea - get out, don't be sentimental or clingy, save yourself. Recommended if you don't mind being a little bit depressed.
