Review of American Teen (2008) by Simon W — 06 Feb 2009

I can't tell if the maker of this film found the perfect John Hughes high school, or if some of the things in this documentary are staged. If it does turn out this isn't exactly on the level than it loses three stars, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and say this was the most perfectly unfolding documentary I have ever seen.

Some of the animation is annoying, but overall it is well shot, and the subjects seem real and I liked them.
