Review of American Teen (2008) by Ashley T — 28 May 2009
Whether you have fond memories of your high school years or horrible ones, this is a fascinating documentary. Following five teens through their senior year in Anytown, USA, we watch them struggle with popularity contests and peer pressure, expectations from parents and positioning themselves for university, and of course, dating.
Each student has their own set of issues, and you'll probably like some more than others, but you'll definitely find yourself attached to all of them by the end of the movie. One thing for sure, the flick makes me grateful that my high school years are long over.
