Review of American Splendor (2003) by Leonard C — 08 May 2008
One of the better biopics I've seen, despite my general lack of enthusiasm for comic books. Inventive, self-aware filmmaking that blurs the line between documentary and narrative, anchored by solid performances by Giamatti, who is always amazing, and Davis, who is always underused.
