Review of American Splendor (2003) by Todd T — 05 Aug 2009
Well, it's funny, smart, moving, real and an absolute son of a bitch to review*. I'd recommend it to anyone with half a brain and any empathy left in their soul.
* See, I have this rule: if you're reduced to using awful terms like "post-modern" in a review, just give up and write a few short sentences. Maybe try tagging a footnote on to it if you want to pad it out a bit, so long as said footnote is not twice as long as the supposed review itself. Mind you, thanks to an all-encompassing anti-authoritarian streak which takes even my own commands into account, I have a hard time sticking to the precise letter of this and other rules.
