American Sniper -- 2 hours of 'meh'. The movie itself suffered from an identity crisis. Was it trying to be this generations' Full Metal Jacket, a drama film, or a mid-summer action blockbuster? It was annoying.
It has more substance to it than Lone Survivor did, which is what saved it from being a complete mess, in my opinion. I enjoyed some parts, but overall it's one of those films I don't necessarily recommend, but if there's nothing else to see at the theaters, then by all means, watch it.
Just not that great.
