Review of American Sniper (2014) by Super C — 31 May 2015
This movie is terrible. This is clearly the american version of a propaganda piece glorifying the racist slightly insane Chris Kyle. The fighting scenes are awful they take fire from unknown locations and just return fire directly in front of open windows im no solider but I hope thats not how they do it.
The main points of this film was a father leaves his family to fight this war because of 9/11 and he had to leave his wife and kids is the strong emotional element, and he has to decide whether or not to kill young terrorist whose country he has invaded for oil.
For those who dont know. 9/11 had nothing to do with the Iraq war. This is why its propaganda. Why are you showing an event that had nothing to do with the war? Its clear the directors aim was making a ad to recruit more people to become pawns for the oil companies.
Being an educated american has made me realize just how many cheap shots of propaganda that were really in this film. Chris Kyle is a known lair and this film was just a huge lie portraying Chris as a person he isn't.
Im not going to glorify some racist mad man and buy into this fake delusional fantasy. War is ugly no doubt but we need to bring our soldiers home and take care of our country and not go to war to line the pockets of rich people that care nothing of americans and our children.
