Review of American Sniper (2014) by John B — 08 Nov 2015
There are some who have indicating that this film borders on propaganda and provides glory to war. I'm hard pressed to reach this conclusion and found it a worthy tribute to an ordinary American who becomes extraordinary and finds it difficult to integrate back into his normal life.
Eastwood doesn't quite mine this for the emotional depth that is inconsistently shown.
