So far, this is the first and only film from the American Pie series that I've seen, but I really enjoyed it and will eventually pursue seeing the other films of the series at some point. The film is cheerfully vulgar, and is very funny, while also finding time to focus on the lives of its characters.
It certainly isn't the greatest comedy I've ever seen, but I had a great time watching it.
