Review of American Reunion (2012) by Graham W — 11 Feb 2015

This is the third time I've seen American Reunion, and each time I find myself enjoying it slightly more than the last. Is it comedy classic on-par with the first films? Absolutely not. But it is a huge dose of nostalgia and it's quite fun for that reason alone.

13 years after graduating high school, the classic characters gets together once again for their high school reunion. As I mentioned, this entire thing is based on nostalgia, and the film understands that.

There are many references to the previous films, and the real enjoyment simply comes from seeing all these people back together again. It's definitely not as strong and its predecessors, and there are moments when it just seems forced and out of place.

That being said though, you don't go into this expecting an amazing film. It's just fun and fans of the franchise should appreciate it.
