I watched the unrated version, and there was a lot of formula story pieces, especially if you are familiar with teen movies from the last decade. Overall, it faintly succeeds in showing the gang growing up dealing with really basic themes.
It doesn't break new ground, but otherwise a necessary piece of the American Pie franchise.
