Christian Bale absolutely makes this movie 4 stars. His twisted performance is still talked about 14 years later as the movie has gained cult status. He plays a wall street buff who starts to develop very sick thoughts.
What entails is a character study about whats real and whats not. The ending is in question as if the whole movie was imagined or not. The killing spree he goes on...is it in his head or did he do it? That is ultimately up to the viewer but what makes it great.
