Review of American Psycho (2000) by Reece L — 11 Jun 2014
The film depicts a character who goes from Point A to Point A with a brief layover in Point A, and as such the journey is straightforward with one direction in mind. That's not a bad thing - thanks to Christian Bale's somewhat unnerving performance as a deranged psychopath who appears to hate everything and everyone around him, his nuance and pitch black charisma hold the film aloft in a world of postmodernism.
