Review of American Psycho (2000) by Giorgos T — 20 Mar 2015

I think this movie is intentionally bad. What a cast to piss away. But I think its cult following is because it is so different and so intentionally bad...that it becomes a comedy of sorts.

Bale plays Bateman, basically a perfect Wall Street caricature. Except he's a psycho. All the crime stuff is utterly ridiculous. This is not how serial killers work because you just can't drop chain saws on prostitutes in stairwells of NYC apartments and get away with it. The best part is Bateman's enthusiasm for music. It makes for a nice soundtrack and it's a great trait for the psycho go have.
