"American Psycho," somehow manages to get better with each viewing. Certain movies seem to cast a magical spell that keeps you coming back for more, this is one of them. The very first time I saw "American Psycho" which was many years ago, I was slightly interested.
Certain scenes stuck in my memory and next thing I knew, I had the urge to re-watch the film. Now after many views, it is what I would consider to be a great, twisted thriller. Christian Bale shines as bloodthirsty, sociopathic yuppie Patrick Bateman.
There are welcome appearances from a few famous faces like Willem Dafoe and Reese Witherspoon. "American Psycho" is disturbing, disgusting and so very fascinating. With all of its darkness and gore, it still manages to be slightly humorous.
For Bale, Horror and Huey Lewis fans......this film is for you.
