Review of American Psycho (2000) by Cle S — 16 Apr 2014
It's difficult to like this when you have read the book. In comparison to the Bret Easton Ellis novel of 1991 the movie seems like a children's birthday party. I appreciate Bale's performance in the leading role, but the film as a whole misses out on the overwhelming satire and the graphic violence of its source material.
