Review of American Pie Presents: Beta House (2007) by Steph G — 26 Apr 2009
This movie is basically about two things: tits and ass. Sorry to be so direct but that is the basic motivation I believe for making this movie. How much T&A can we put into one straight to DVD movie?
The plot seems to change too much to really follow. The trailer promoted the 50 things that the pledges have to do before they can become members. But the actual movie, the assigned tasks are montaged over and you don't even get to see most of them.
The other "plot" is the rivalry between the BETAs and the GEEKs. Apparently someone forget to tell the writers, that a fraternity fighting a bunch of geeks has been done before. Either that, or they were pissed that in that movie the GEEKs won.
The original American Pie was good because it was about friendship, relationship and high school. (OK so it was pretty much every other Teen movie) but it was more because it was done good with GOOD actors.
I feel sorry for Eugene Levy.
