Review of American Pie Presents: Band Camp (2005) by Dann M — 27 Jul 2013
Picking up where the theatrical films left off, American Pie Presents Band Camp continues the misadventures. A few series alumn make cameos, but for the most part the film tries to be its own thing. The story follows Stifler's younger brother Matt as he attempts to become the new "Stifmeister" by pulling a prank on the high school band, but when he's caught he ends put being send off to Band Camp.
It's a pretty generic and uninspired plot, and mostly relies on stereotypes. As with the rest of the series, the comedy's based mostly on gross-out humor and sex antics, but there's no heart or sincerity to the characters.
American Pie Presents Band Camp is a formulaic screwball comedy that doesn't really add much to the franchise.
