Review of American Outlaws (2001) by Dylan D — 19 Jun 2006

Sure, this was entertaining, but it just might be one of the most historically inaccurate movies ever made. They portrayed Jesse James as the hero when actually he was a murderer who killed innocent people while robbing banks.

That was one huge flaw that automatically makes this a 3 star film in my opinion. I did like the gunfights but the whole cast was awful. Colin Farrell is a good actor but he didn't do anything for his character here.

I guess it isn't there fault because there was no story to begin with. American Outlaws tries hard to be a good western but fails in every way possible. Don't get me wrong, this wasn't a bad movie but it was nothing more than average.
