It wasn't unenjoyable, it was just lack luster all the way through. The main character rarely makes a decision, he just goes along with whatever drops in his lap. It's like Forrest Gump becomes a drugs and guns runner.
Basically, I didn't care about any of the characters. And I always say, the first rule of film/storytelling is? Make me care.
