Review of American Hustle (2013) by Brian Y — 30 Jul 2014
Didn't really feel the luster from this one that most people were heavily drumming up. Well cast and well acted, but the story just rambles on incoherently from one scene to the next. All in all, the plot failed to be of significant interest to me, just con men trying to out con each other over something to do with a casino.
Not a bad movie by any means but not for me. As far as David Russell goes, I much prefer his older stuff (Three Kings, I Heart Huckabees, The Fighter).
