Review of American Hustle (2013) by Jake Z — 27 Jun 2015
Several sequences find O. Russell at the peak of his powers, he captures pure cinematic electricity. The vibrant cast all give excellent work, especially Amy Adams in one of her very best performances.
American Hustle is long and maybe a bit overly convoluted, but it's also a whole lot of fun, never once boring, and has a smashing soundtrack. It's just great entertainment.
