Review of American Hustle (2013) by Paul E — 17 Oct 2015
A brilliant cast brings to life a fictionalized account of the ABSCAM scandal of the 70s. I know that doesn't sound that entertaining, but this movie certainly is. Amy Adams is incredible - I love Cate Blanchett, but Adams should've won the Oscar.
I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Christian Bale is also great - he gained 40 lbs for the role and definitely disappears into is con man role. Everyone else is excellent. See it for the performances alone.
That 70s soundtrack is pretty great, too!
