Review of American Hustle (2013) by Sapphire W — 23 May 2014
I turned it off halfway thru.
Gorgeous costumes, some fantastic acting but it lacked Soul, Rhythm, Flow, and most importantly Engagement.
As I was watching it - I should have been drawn INTO the movie and instead, I kept thinking about the HYPE for this movie and how it did NOT draw me in... the way To Catch a Thief, Ocean's Eleven, The Friends of Eddie Coyle, etc. had.
Sorry. I wanted it to be a memorable movie.
