Review of American Honey (2016) by Carlos M — 17 Oct 2016
American Honey is a broad, rambling, energetic film about the underbelly of America. British director Andrea Arnold has delved into the heart of the US and created a unique film that has a certain energy that is engrossing and compelling.
Even though it's a long film I was taken through out due to great performances from an untrained cast and also beautiful cinematography. The film follows a motley crew of youngsters who go door to door selling magazines.
Their road trip is full of exotic adventures and home truths. Even though they don't reveal a lot about their themselves was I was drawn to their journey and lives.
