Edward Norton's bold and definitely Oscar-worthy performance is what makes this take of prejudice and tragedy contain such raw emotional height. This is a unrelenting look at the heart of neo-Nazism.
Curb stomping is one form of execution I would have been happy not knowing, but it just one of the many memorable aspects of "American History X" that makes it so constantly haunting.
