Review of American History X (1998) by Huw G — 04 Nov 2013
This is an incredibly powerful film, led by a strong performance by Edward Norton.
Focusing in on the psychology of a young man who turned to neo-Nazism, tracing his increased bigotry following the death of his father, to the slow redemption during a 3 year stint in prison. The film is quite often confrontational, but it is impressively shot, well-scripted, and as well as Norton features a strong performance from a young Edward Furlong.
An important film, a must-see for any movie lover.
