Review of American History X (1998) by Sean D — 26 Jun 2014
Okay. I haven't wrote a review in a while. So here we go. This one was intense. I've been meaning to see this. It was nothing short of brilliant, there were certain things that I wish there was more of a focus on but it was so well put together. It really sends a message out unbiasedly showing the incredible acts of racism that exists in all races and still very much exists today, but in a much more subliminal form.
This is a 1998 film that nearly 16 years later still paints a picture and tells a message that is ever so ringing. The film can be easily relatable, and is honestly a film that everyone should watch. It's not that violent and gets its message across with black and white flashbacks, everything about the film was amazing. I think it could have went over two hours, but maybe length wasn't the point.
