Edward Norton is Derek, a neo-Nazi skinhead who just got out of prison. He finds that his little brother (Edward Furlong) is eager to follow in his footsteps, but Derek's experiences behind bars have given him a new perspective on organized racism.
American History X is a bitingly powerful movie that features one of Norton's best performances. There are many films that do a case-study of the neo-Nazi movement, but few have both the storytelling quality and the popular appeal of American History X.
