Review of American Hardcore (2006) by Johnny S — 18 Sep 2007

This was cool! included some great interviews and footage of my favourite bands from the period like black flag, minor threat, bad brains etc. they also had an interesting segment on the role of women in the scene.

I think that even if you weren't interested in the music, the documentary would make you interested in the movement and the energy and everything behind it. even my mum was riveted. might've liked them to spend a bit more time on other bands like die kreuzen though.

anyway, this documentary has definitely made me want to dig out all of my CDs and listen to em all over again. also - thanks to zie for lending it to me!
