Review of American Hardcore (2006) by Darryl K — 29 Jan 2012
While I grew up in the area that some of this music took place, it happened slightly before I was old enough to experience it first hand. As a teen, however, I listened to the bands that were directly influenced by these groups (the old Green Day, the old Offsrping, the old Goldfinger and the like).
All of these bands were legends to my generation of pop-punkers. With some great footage of live performances, and interesting interviews AH is an in-depth look into the underground movement that has influenced a great deal of music today.
A great documentary.
