Review of American Graffiti (1973) by Christopher E — 08 May 2009
A classic milestone of a film that perfectly portrays a generation of teens who have their lives changed overnight. I thought "American Graffiti" is really the first of its kind in the line of "teen movies".
A lot of what you see in this movie had inspired all the newer teen comedies of OUR generation. The story in this movie is short and simple, yet delivers very well...in 1962, a group of teens go crusin' around hollywood (and mel's diner.
.love that place) for a night to remember! The character development is great, the pace is excellent, and the overall vibe is bitchin'. I highly recommend this boss film. I give it a 8/10.
