Review of American Graffiti (1973) by Ben R — 20 Aug 2014
Hey, this is such a great movie. I'm not sure how it ranks compared to Dazed & Confused - which is often gets compared to. D&C is funnier, I think, and more fun throughout, but I cared about the characters more in this one; there were so many great scenes and characters.
By far my favorite plot was John Milner driving around with Carole, which turned out so sweet and funny. I also really liked the Toad's journey with Debbie for some reason. At the beginning, Curt's plot was the least interesting to me - I was bored a bit during his trip with Wendy - but it ended really nicely in his chat with Wolfman Jack.
God, this is a wonderful movie. So nostalgic, and relaxed, and funny, and genuine.
