Review of American Gothic (1987) by Angee 1 — 06 Jun 2008
The first half of this movie wasn't bad - it was a little weird but an inbred family living on their own on an island would be. Ma and Pa and their 3 40 year old kids who act as though they were still children were genuinely creepy.
The whole movie takes a downward turn once most of the stranded people have been killed off and the female survivor joins the family, it just didn't seem very plausible that she watched them kill all her friends and then joined them.
It might just be that the actress was rubbish at portraying someone who was becoming as insane as the family.
